Quiet time

Posted by anonymous on March 22, 2012 at 11:35 PM

Our blog has been quiet during the last week as we were away and had no access to a computer. It was amazing to realize how much our lives are ruled by technology. It was good to be away but it is also good to return. We have been busy preparing for our 1st book signing and celebration party. God has been so faithful, patient and loving during our journey. It is now time for us to give Him all the honor and glory due. It is vital that we step away from the business of life and take some quiet time. Time to tune out all distractions - cell phones, IPads, computers, laptops, music, tv, work, friends and family and whatever else causes distractions. Take the time to tune into God, His word says, "Be still and know I am God." Psalm 46:10 - Be still! If your struggling take time to be still. We've learned in our journey that God doesn't drag us away to spend time with us He patiently waits for us to draw near to Him. Think about the last time you wanted to be heard by someone. You probably desired their full, undivided attention. God our creator is no different.  So, I'm glad that we didn't have computer use for almost a week. There is a season and time for everything. But God must be in our everything.

Romans 8

Romans 8:38 (NLT)

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.”
